The Smithsonian Kite Festival is really worth a trip to Washington, D.C, in April each year.

The flying fields are really good, good organization, prestigious kite-making competition and a huge crowd are the characteristics of this festival. To park near the festival site come early in the morning. This is one of the earliest big kite events in the year. The festival is organized by Bevan and Margo Brown.
The Rokkaku battles always result in a lot of fun.
